Update from the Principal 8/1/21
Dear Parents and students,
As you are aware we begin remote teaching and learning from Monday until at least 31st January. In previous correspondence I outlined ways in which you can support your child during this period. It is vital for student’s academic progress and their emotional well- being that they engage with their teachers from Monday. We have produced a Remote Learning Protocol for students which is informed by our experience of the last lock down. It is available here
In order for online learning to be successful the following etiquette rules must be followed:
Ø Choose a workspace that is suitable for an online classroom. Be aware of what others see in the background.
Ø Mute your mic when you are not talking. Only turn it on if you are asked to speak.
Ø Be in time for your online class.
Ø Do not take screen shot or photos of others online.
Ø We recommend that students wear their uniform if not they must be dressed appropriately.
Ø School rules apply in the classroom. Think before you type, focus on your class and your assignments.
PE classes will not take place on line but the PE teachers will post challenges on One Note for students that they may wish to engage with to help with their physical and mental health.
We wish you well during this time of crisis and are available to support you through the usual channels. Please feel free to reach out for support.
Kind regards,
