Vision & Mission

Our school is a community where relationships are based on mutual respect. Pastoral care is at the heart of what we do and the wellbeing of each student is at our core. It is a community where students feel valued and know that we see value in them. All our efforts are directed at helping our students become mature, critical thinking, tolerant and respectful young adults who are capable of making responsible decisions and making a positive contribution to their families and their communities.

Strong Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is at the heart of what we do and the wellbeing of each student is at our core. We are fortunate to have a school chaplain and a dedicated pastoral care team who work in collaboration with parents and teachers to ensure that our students’ time here is productive and happy.

Academic excellence

Small classes, allowing for more individual attention and better student engagement, results in academic excellence. Promoting student growth and more effective student engagement is at the center of all that we do.

Principal’s Welcome

Coláiste an Chroí Naofa is a co-educational voluntary secondary school under the trusteeship of CEIST. Our college is situated in a tranquil setting, 5 miles from Cork city, adjacent to the village of Carraig na bhFear. i In partnership with parents we strive to ensure that every student becomes the best person that they can be. Each student is valued as an individual and all our efforts are focused on developing the talents and abilities of each person. It is our hope that all students who pass through the school gates feel valued and know that we see value in them. This ethos is inspired by the mission of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, bringing 'God's love to all people'. We are committed to the pursuit of academic excellence. We have high expectations of all our students and the continued success of our students at state examinations is indicative of this commitment. Our team of highly qualified, motivated teachers work tirelessly with our students to ensure that they reach their full potential. We offer a wide range of extra- curricular and co-curricular activities including sport, music and debating. Through these and many other cultural activities, our students learn the values of commitment and co-operation in pursuit of their goals. Coláiste an Chroí Naofa is a welcoming school. We look forward to welcoming your child to our school community, and by working together, we can ensure that their time here is enjoyable, rewarding and enriching.
