Letter to parents
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you and your families well. I just wanted to update you on a number of developments regarding our efforts to create an online school.
At this stage all students (except TY’s) should have access to schoolwise. They should be logging in every morning, engaging with their teachers and getting to grips with learning independently. Please email info@ccn.ie if you have any difficulties in accessing schoolwise.
We will provide all TY students with usernames and passwords for schoolwise in the next few days and they will be able to engage with their teachers from Monday. The book companies are providing free online text books and resources. If you do not have all your books you can access on line books from these companies. We have posted the relevant information on our school twitter account @ccn_school, Facebook colaisteanchroinaofa and Instagram ccnschool.
The Guidance Counsellor, Ms Hearn and the Chaplain, Ms Power, will soon be available to students if required. We will keep you posted.
We are in a position that none of us could have possibly foreseen, even a few short weeks ago. Just as students are trying to come to terms with learning on line our teachers are busy upskilling on how best to engage with their classes. They are showing a huge level of commitment and professionalism to ensure that our students continue to receive the best education in what are the most stressful of circumstances. There will be glitches along the way, it will be frustrating at times and I’m sure nerves will become frayed but it is important that we remain patient with each other.
I will continue to provide you with updates at regular intervals . Stay healthy,
