Letter for 3rd Years
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We hope that this letter finds you and your families well.
The 3rd year end of year assessment will start next Monday. The timetable is available here: https://www.ccn.ie/news/3rd-year-assessment-timetable Students will not have more than two assessments each day. These assessments will be posted on line each morning before 10am. Some teachers have arranged particular time for their classes to be on MS teams in order to provide them with instructions. Students should return their assessments to their teachers as soon as they are finished but not later than 5.30pm on each. We have asked that where possible you supervise these assignments. We have also messaged the 3rd years letting them know that we expect them to behave with integrity. We hope to have the results available to you by mid-June and will let you know the date in due course. In September they will receive a Certificate of Completion from the DES and a School Certificate of their results.
All our lives have changed utterly in the last few months. It has been a huge learning curve for teachers, students and parents to come to terms with remote teaching and learning. I would like to acknowledge how difficult it has been for students to work without the company of their friends and classmates and to compliment them for their engagement and commitment. I would like to thank parents for ensuring that our students stayed the course and for their patience and understanding with us as we got to grips with school wise and teams. Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the teachers for their commitment and dedication in ensuring continuity of learning to the highest standard for their students and in supporting their wellbeing during the last few months.
We hope that some semblance of normality will return over the Summer months and that everyone has a well- deserved break. We look forward to welcoming all students back in September.
Wishing you all good health and peace of mind during this time.
Kind regards,
Colm Ó Corcora Marie Sheehan
