Update on Parent/Teacher Meetings
As I mentioned in my last correspondence it will not be possible to hold Parent Teacher Meetings in the current climate The link below outlines the guidance provided by the Department of Education on supporting collaboration with parents and guardians.
Post-Primary Supporting collaboration with parent/guardians
The document provides 3 options for communicating with parents given current public health restrictions. These are additional reports, phone calls or video conferencing. Given the size of our school additional and more detailed reporting was considered to be the most practical approach.
The 6th and 3rd years will receive their reports in early December and again after the Pres. The template for these reports has been modified to reflect the type of information that teachers typically provide at a PTM. The following are the headings that will appear on the report:
Grade:
Areas to focus on:
Areas where working well:
Behaviour:
Additional comments:
As is normal practice, 1st, 2nd,TY and 5th years will receive a report before the Christmas and Summer holidays. They will also receive an additional report at Easter
As has always been the case, if you need to speak to a teacher, please contact the school secretary who will pass on your request to the relevant teacher. You can also keep up to date on your child’s behaviour by checking the behaviour tab on VSware.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Colm Ó Corcora
