Update for 6th Year Students and Parents

Dear Parent’s and 6th years,

As we come to the end of your time with us, we wish to bring to your attention to the following to ensure a smooth finish to the year.

Ø  We are unable to hold a traditional Graduation evening due to COVID restrictions. However, on Thursday next, 20th May, we will invite students in 4 separate groups to attend a small but meaningful graduation. We will contact students in due course. Unfortunately, we cannot invite parents /guardians.

Ø  Students who are solely involved in the Accredited grades process have now finished their time with us.

Ø  Classes will continue for students who are sitting their Leaving Cert until the 28th May. Once a student attends school they must attend all their classes. They can study in their non exam classes. This is to ensure that the school is run in an orderly fashion for all students until the end of term.

Ø  We would strongly urge students not to attend any social events where there are large congregations of people or smaller events in houses which greatly increase the risk of spreading COVID-19. Accredited Grades will be provided to any candidates, eligible to receive them, who are unable to attend for any of their examinations for COVID related reasons or any other medical reasons including hospitalisation. There will be no alternative sitting of any of the examinations at the 2021 Leaving Certificate for any circumstances including bereavement

It has been a very stressful year for all students and we are now nearing the end of the term. It is important that the remaining time is spent in a calm and productive atmosphere.

Kind regards,
