St. Brigid's Day/ Ceiliúradh Ceist Day

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Brigid and also Ceiliúradh Ceist Day.   Many thanks to Gail for making St. Brigid's crosses for us today. It is wonderful to keep the tradition alive here in school and to mark the importance of St. Brigid's role in bringing Christianity to Ireland!

Also today we celebrate being part of the CEIST community and our founding members, which include Jules Chevalier MSC. We celebrate what it means to be a Catholic school, to seek excellence in all we do, to be a place of hope, kindness and welcome to all .  Attached are two prayers you may be interested in.

Many thanks!

Niamh

Prayer to St. Saint Brigid

You were a woman of peace.
You brought harmony where there was conflict.
You brought light to the darkness.
You brought hope to the downcast.
May the mantle of your peace
cover those who are troubled and anxious,
and may peace be firmly rooted in our hearts and in our world.
Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.
Brigid you were a voice for the wounded and the weary.
Strengthen what is weak within us.
Calm us into a quietness that heals and listens.
May we grow each day into greater
wholeness in mind, body and spirit.
Amen
