St. Bridgets Day
Today is Ceiliúradh CEIST Day and also St. Brigid's Day. The theme for this year is 'One Good Deed' where we are encouraged to show random acts of kindness today no matter how big or small! If you are looking for inspiration then look to our CCNs Positivitree! There are positive thoughts and affirmations which are sure to inspire!
We also celebrate the feast of St. Brigid. Our 1st year students and their teachers were busy making St. Brigid's crosses this morning. Well done to all!
St. Brigid's Prayer
You were a woman of peace.
You brought harmony where there was conflict.
You brought light to the darkness.
You brought hope to the downcast.
May the mantle of your peace cover those who are troubled and anxious,
and may peace be firmly rooted in our hearts and in our world.
Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.
Brigid you were a voice for the wounded and the weary.
Strengthen what is weak within us.
Calm us into a quietness that heals and listens.
May we grow each day into greater wholeness
in mind, body and spirit. Amen
All first years took home a St Brigid’s Cross and there were even a few for Grandparents.
A special thank you to all Students and Staff who took part and to the following Students were were kind enough to both collect
the rushes and help other Students making their crosses all in the spirit of CEIST
