Month of the Missions

October is traditionally celebrated within the church as the Month of the Missions. Our school was founded by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC)  and are now part of the CEIST family. The MSC's were founded by a French priest called Jules Chevalier. His motto and that of the society was: “May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved!  This means that every corner of the world and every society should know that God loves them. The mission is to the spread this Good News.  The people who work in the missions throughout the world bring God’s love to people through their words and deeds.  They offer hope and light to those in darkness.  We can take time this month to remember those who work with the poor and marginalised and also take time to reflect on the many things we can be grateful for in our own lives.

Pope Francis met recently with the MSC's to support them in the work they do throughout the world.
